You're eyes aren't messing with you, it's definitely tilted.

I don't know how I missed this thread but the 40d in question we owned by us prior to gifting the camera after purchasing our 50d and then 7d. We have been on this forum for years and we and our children have owned and cared for cameras before there were digital cameras. I can assure you that this camera was well cared for and in perfect condition when the camera was sold. The camera is over 4 yrs old and has normal wear. I guarantee that the person has not come on here to rip anybody off nor does he have a need too. We recommended he post it here since he rarely uses it since buying his Rebel T3i. The buyer contacted the seller first saying it didn't work at all, then filed with paypal saying it worked slow. I would not recommend the seller take it back it since it has been handled so heavily since the sale.

that the seller not take care of the problem. you waltz into the thread out of nowhere, no nothing about the condition of the camera as shipped, but make an uninformed statement that the camera must be okay. how can you possibly know? someone could have spilled a coke in it after you sold it. you know nothing about the exact condition of the camera before it was shipped. If you did, you would have jumped in sooner. just because you "USED" to own it means nothing about the condition when it was sold after that. anyone that sold me anything can make zero claim as to its condition when i resell it. quit supporting your baytown friend. instead, ask that he not be the handful out of thousands of transactions (per abel) that turned into someone getting screwed.

Quite alright if you think it's bs, doesn't change the facts about the transaction. We purchased the camera from B&H brand new a few yrs back, a couple of yrs later gave it to our son. We do know the condition just prior to the transaction and know that he has responded to the seller and letting paypal handling the dispute. I didn't waltz in any sooner because we didn't even know this thread existed. Why would we as long standing members of this forum suggest to him to come on here and screw somebody? We have owned every model from the 20D to our present 7D and take great care of everyone, in fact we donated the 20D to a charity 2yrs ago and it still works flawlessly because it was so well cared for.

Same way I fixed mine. My "sticky" shutter button was due to collection of dirt on the button itself (i.e. skin, sweat residue, dust, etc.).

I was ready to send it in, but decided to give a few "free" fixes a try. Saved me a few good bills.

Thanks to all those on the thread (including Abel) who suggested that the camera may need to be cleaned as opposed to a claim of being ripped off. Just because someone says they are ripped off does not mean they are. This camera was mine untill I gave it to my son, and it was working fine when he shipped it. Ask paypal about their fraud experience and you will find that the "new" way to get parts is to buy something swap parts, and then dispute the sale in an attempt to "hoorah" someone into a refund. I guess no one has considered that. As for supporting our Baytown friend (son), duh, We know the truth here.

Here is a vid of the camera that duronboy got buyer's remorse over. I am the one who was ripped off. The camera was fine when it left and so far works as it did. If you don't want to deal with the slower speed of an older body, don't buy an older body. No super human strength required to fire the shutter. And the idiot that thought the button was caved in should get his eyes checked or stop taking pictures.

****Abel beat me to the edit, I was going to remove it out of respect to my parents. You can go back to your glass internet houses*****
