I just thought that it might be hard for some people to go find a fountain to shoot in there town and maybe water would be a better theme so you could shoot a fountain or what ever else that may possess that element.
When you start to designate specific objects then are we looking at the technical aspect of the photograph, exposure, sharpness, DOF, comp, or are we looking at the uniqueness of a particular fountain versus others?
A theme of water would let you interpret that anyway you want to and the technical scrutinization would be left at the door.
Sometimes expression in photography is more important than the technical. It helps you develope an eye for subject matter and comp. and the technical side can be incorporated in that.
I have seen allot of very technically good photographers but there work was boring and uninspiring because they never took the time to develope an eye for subject matter or experiment with composition.
This should be a fun exercise and educational as well without leaving anyone behind because thay may lack the technical knowledge or equipment of others.
