Cool Can we PLEASE add another forum? - 02-10-2007, 09:02 AM

Under the Showcase section?
We need a good place to showcase things like still lifes, product shots, food photography... The general forum tends to be more of a generic snapshot forum which is cool, but it's impossible to get any serious feedback or critique there. There's really nowhere designated for more commercial type stuff.

Might as well add a "night photography" forum while you're at it.

I like that idea as a place to put serious attempts at art pieces, too... the stuff that doesn't fit in landscapes, etc.... the water drops could be moved there.. the stuff people do/want to do for stock photography of food and such.... lots of good things.

Call it Commercial/Art or something like that?

Another thought- I notice there are a fair number of wedding-related questions and discussions, but the only wedding-specific forum is under "showcase", which implies just showing off pics.

Great suggestions above. I vote for NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY for sure.... as well as still life - food photography - product photography - stock photography

I am kind of new to this TPF thing, and am totally amazed at all the information packed into this well designed site.

Thanks.

Susan

The post may be all over the places.

For instance, there's a mixed posts on macro and nature. User can't tell macro from nature or prefer to post on section where they got more exposure. If the mod doesn't do anything about this, might well has one section for everything.

2 cents

Huh?

I'm talking about Commercial stuff. That kind of stuff doesn't fit anywhere at the moment.
