Site related problems ... - 06-26-2007, 07:49 PM

I'm noticing a number of minor problems with the way the site works. I'm not sure how to report these, so I'll just put them here.

1. When reading posts, I often notice that if a photo that is a bit wider than normal is posted in a post that the box surrounding the post resizes incorrectly and cuts off part of the text accompanying the post. Here is an example:

Note that no horizontal scroll bar shows up.

Most of the sites that use this same forum software, will add a scroll bar when extra wide photos appear. Naturally its better to keep the photos no wider than about 700 pixels otherwise this starts to happen. I tried looking at my example on a large monitor but it made no difference as I would just get more blue space off to the right.

2. Also found a search problem. I searched for the following:

and got these results:

and then clicked on the image I've pointed to (which I know is there because I can navigate to it through the Gallery link) and I get this message:

I then tried it on other photos in the search results and got the same error message.

Cheers,
Roger

As far as your first problem, try switching your skin to Satellite Liquid.

Yes, that did indeed seem to work for the first problem.

lemme take a look at the second issue... and see... i think it may have to do with the Human Form Section in the Gallery software. I've had issues with it since I had uploaded it sometime ago.

Lemme take a look.

looks to be a different problem with the Search feature in the Gallery Section...

it seems all of the links on the page all point to
http://www.texasphotoforum.com/galle...oto.php?photo=

which should include an item id number at the end but none of the links do. lemme see if i can get this resolved. thanks for the heads up!
