I just tried to use the connect to facebook option and am getting an error message when I do. Any thoughts on this?

Invalid Argument

The Facebook Connect cross-domain receiver URL (http://www.2-dphoto.com/services/fbc...%220.681%22%7D) must be in the same domain or be in a subdomain of an application's base domain (smugmug.com). You can configure the base domain in the application's settings.

I don't have an answer but another question. Where did you find the "connect to facebook option" and what is it supposed to be doing?

When you are in your galleries and looking at a picture. At the top there is a "share" button. Go there and then go to the "Be Social" link and it will let you share that photo with several other services including twitter and facebook. The idea is that you can then truly just host at SM, but still post at FB as needed.

Wow thanks, it works.

Did you check your "customize gallery" settings? I guess you need to allow "External Links".

I did - thanks for the thought though. Are you at a pro account? Based on the error message I thought it might have something to do with me having a custom domain name...

If you are still having issues with this, you'll need to email our help desk as I don't know how to fix that one.

That link did help - thanks!

It was related to the custom domain thing. And it is a security thing on the FB side. Basically I had to use 2-dphoto.smugmug.com instead of www.2-dphoto.com as the url I was looking at. Same thing, I know. DNS knows it too. Facebook doesn't apparently and didn't let it work that way.
