Houston SMUGs?

Am new here, so sorry if this has been answered already...

Are there any plans for a Houston SMUG meetup? I keep hearing about these all over the country on Twitter, and yet haven't seen anything about one in Houston?

Thanks - I have been on the lookout there and on the DGrin forums - I guess, I was wondering what the process was, and whether it was ongoing. I understand someone needs to step up to initiate - has that happened?

Hey Oliver, I was just wandering by this thread and saw it. We had our first Smug last month and the next is 1/19/10 at Coffee Groundz. I posted this link earlier for more details for this month since I am talking about Strobist 101 stuff - Strobist 101 at the Houston MugtoMug | JamesCrossman.com

Also, FWIW, there will be a Strobist meetup where some of the stuff discussed and shown at the Smug can be practiced a few days later on the 24th at 6:30 and also at CG.

Hi James,

Thanks - yes, I found out about the Smug last month, but unfortunately wasn't able to attend. I am planning on coming to the next one on the 19th. I also saw the Flickr Strobist group - and will come to those when I can. Thanks for closing the loop!
