Needs cropping in Checkout - HELP - 03-16-2011, 06:09 PM

Oh my gosh, Im gonna be sick

HELP me please! I just finished my second only, senior shoot and because I dont know any better I cropped the pictures like I wanted and then put them on Smugmug. NOW they ALL need additional cropping in checkout. This is cutting off hands, logos, and more. My customer cant buy anything with hacking them up.

One - How can I fix this?

Two - How do I prevent this from happening again?

Here is my page

Are you leaving your logo on their prints?

They are cropped too tight, the only thing you can do is to re-upload the images. I almost never crop my uploads to smugmug.

Also I use to shoot tight framed shots and learned my lesson the hard way ... leave some space for cropping.

Sorry not much help ...

Thankyou! I mainly used lightroom, I saved the original Raw files. Is there an easy way to just "uncrop" them without losing all the editing?

Not a lightroom user ... I would guess no, but someone may jump in that knows.

In LR, cropping is non-destructive.

Just go back into the Develop module, select the crop adjustment tool, then click on the Reset button in the crop tool window.

All your other edits should remain just fine.

Images that have been exported as cropped are, well, cropped. You'll have to re-export out the un-cropped pics.

Hope that helps.
