OK.....HELP!

Man...I just can't get the slideshow to work
I have got something wrong somewhere.
When I open my site, the Bio area displays "loading" but all I get is the SmugMug logo. No slideshow!!!
Can there be other stuff in the CSS and Java box's for my banner and navbar and whatever, that is conflicting?
Does that other stuff have to be in some certain order?
I just pasted the slideshow code in the bottom of each box below what is already there.
Or, do I have the gallery address for the slideshow wrong. I have tried that multiple ways but can't seem to get it do work?????

Woah!!! Now it's working! Did I fix it, or did I have help?????

I, for the second or third time, entered only the album number, and not a whole address, or variations of the address, as I did as alternative tries...

Patience isn't a virtue that I posses a lot of, so perhaps I didn't give it enough time. Or, perhaps I should have refreshed the page the other times.
This last time I refreshed the page via the browser after reentering the gallery number (instead of just changing pages within the site) and it started.

That looks great! I am loving it.

Oh and btw, I always say, Patience is truly the ability to hide your impatience :)

Ok, it is all fixed! So with a little help from one of our customization gurus and some "patience" you are up and running. :)

I hope your frustration isn't too much to want to toilet paper our homes tonight :)

FYI--I just centered your banner. I had to change the dimensions in the CSS box to match the size of the banner you uploaded.

IF you upload a larger banner, then we'll change those dimensions so it is centered again!

I also wanted to say thanks to Markham, I requested some assistance and he pointed me in the right direction. Now after working through different tutorials and other information I have almost completed my site and moved my site name as well to smugmug.

Markham - I finally finished the slide show, banner and navbar. Now I need to start loading galleries and pictures. Thanks for the support and assistance. A special shout out to the people over in the Digital Grin Forum (SmugMug Customization). Post a question on that forum and they will not only answer you but will assist you code to set up your site.

Mine's coming on pretty well. It looks a lot different now than when this thread started!!!

There's not much more I'd like to do, except what can't be done right now...have more 'Featured Galleries'.

I would like to use the 'Featured' galleries to featue the newest gallery additions to my site, and 4 just isn't enough! 8 or 10 would be ideal.

Yeah, we get that request once and awhile.

You might want to look into creating SubCategories on your site. Then you can organize some of the duplicate type galleries in a SubCategory. http://www.smugmug.com/help/upload-photo
