Domain Help PLease - 05-22-2008, 08:45 AM

So I signed up for yahoo name a year or so ago, and it directs to my smugmug. But you have to put in the WWW. and I want it to go either way. Can I sign up for a GODady name now and just have two or is my name tuck with Yahoo?

Also I'm thinking of making my website name shorter... can I just register for a new one with Godaddy and make both point to my smugmug?

Thanks
Melissa

Hi Melissa,

You can only point one URL CNAME to your SmugMug site. You can transfer and/or just buy a new domain here: www.smugmugdomains.com

not sure how smugmug does it, but with most domain hosting companies, you can have your old domain names forward to the new one so that no matter which name people type in, it goes to the same place.....

If you just want to CNAME your current Yahoo address to SmugMug, here is a good help page: http://wiki.smugmug.com/display/Smug...oo+CNAME+Setup
