Markham. I'm curious about something.

When I upload an image to a gallery, and then upload that same image to a different gallery, do you keep two copies of that same image?

If I create a duplicate of an image within SmugMug, then move that duplicate to a different gallery, do you also store 2 copies of the same image when the second copy is created in that manner?

This is only to satisfy my curiosity. Mainly because another site I know of says they keep only one copy no matter how many different albums it is displayed in. It really makes no difference to me how many copies you store.

We keep multiple copies in multiple data centers of EACH photo on SmugMug. Every image gets its own unique URL and for that reason, we store multiple copies no matter how it was created. (Either by 'Make 2nd copy' or just uploading another yourself)

Make sense?
