Anyone know anything about plans to add another pro lab?

I'm looking for a new order fullfillment company and right now I'm leaning toward using Zenfolio simply because they partner with MPix. But, I've seen hints on other threads that SmugMug may be adding a different or second pro lab to print their orders in the near future. I can't find anything concrete, though.

I like SmugMug's set up and interface better than Zenfolio, but prefer the printing from MPix over EZ Prints. If I can find out more info about another pro lab SmugMug is partnering with, it very well may sway me to going with SmugMug.

So, anyone know if there's a time frame for adding a new professional lab for printing and can anyone say what lab it might be? I need to make a decision within the next couple of days.

Time Frame with SmugMug is hard to nail down, my only suggestion would be to do what you need now and not wait as you could be waiting for a long time. Things that are needed at SmugMug are coming, but they do take time. Adding another Pro Lab or Two I would suspect would take some time to nail down everything and then the interface that would need to be built and tested. But I do not know at what phase or any that SmugMug is in with the what you have reported so far. I personally don't care for EZ myself, the prints are ok, but nothing to write home mom about.

If they could do that (change labs) and get me some packages, I'd be as happy as I was when the power came back on after IKe!!

Yes, timing is really hard for us even to say, but we are hoping to have something for people to try in a month or so. It is one of our very top priorities.

Nothing. They have been wonderful and we'll continue to use them, but we want to give our customers selection.

I haven't ordered from them yet, but they offer Lustre and Metallic prints now, so I'm assuming they're great...people who have ordered have not complained either...
I was actually really impressed by ArtsCow's 5x7 prints from hong Kong. i only used them because I had "Free" credits, but you pay so much for shipping they make it up in that way. But they looked great.
