Change a single setting on every gallery at once? - 03-25-2009, 08:24 PM

Another question.

I just upgraded to the Power account and now have the 'Right Click Protect' option.

Is there a way for me to set this to yes for all of my galleries at once or do I have to do it one by one?

My gallery setings vary a fair amount through my site, so I don not want ALL of the settings to be the same, just this one.

You need to go into one of your galleries and make all the selections that you want.

Now, instead of just hitting the save button at the top of the page, just use the Quick Settings button and click on "Save settings as..." You can now name and save those settings as a Template.

After you have done that, you can apply that template to all or any galleries you want! You can have as many templates as you want as well :)

There's actually an even EASIER way if you are OK with installing a FireFox plugin. The thread is here: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=47484

It's called SmugBrowser and it let's you make quick changes to almost anything you want on a SmugMug site. I use it ALL the time.

It is free, but, to get the latest version, you may have to register on the Mozilla download site as it is classified as "experimental". But, it does work well IMHO.
