Sony/Minolta 35mm f/1.4 G SAL-35F14G - 06-19-2010, 12:14 PM

Sony 35mm f/1.4 G
(NOTE: This lens is optically identical to the Minolta 35mm f/1.4 G)

Description:

The Sony SAL-35F14G 35mm f/1.4G Lens is a fast, high-quality wide-angle lens that features aspherical design to correct for distortion, reduce spherical aberration, and to generally achieve sharper image quality.

Features like rounded aperture blades, a floating element design, focus hold button, and its large f/1.4 aperture all make this lens the ideal choice for press photography, tight group pictures, and general outdoor photography. In conjunction with the Super SteadyShot image stabilization system of the Sony α (alpha) camera, this lens captures bright, steady images even when working with a hand-held camera in very low light.

When used with a Sony Alpha digital SLR camera with an APS sized sensor, this lens provides an equivalent range of approx. 52mm.

The rounded-blade diaphragm opening makes out-of-focus elements appear more natural.

The double floating element design results in sharp images at all focal lengths.

For full creative control, a focus hold button located on the lens can lock auto-focusing.

Ultra-Bright f1.4 Aperture
In conjunction with the Super SteadyShot® image stabilization system of the Sony ± (alpha) DSLR-A100 camera, this lens captures bright, steady images even working with hand-held camera in very low light.

Auto Clutch
In auto-focus mode, the manual focus ring does not rotate -- which improves handling ease.

Glass-Molded Aspherical Lens
Improves optical stability and precision in creating sharper, more visually accurate images with minimal distortion even at fully open aperture.

Focus Hold Button
For full creative control, a focus hold button located on the lens can lock auto-focusing.
