Minolta 70-210mm f/4 Beercan DISCONTINUED Description:
From groovyone:
The Minolta 70-210mm f/4 "Beercan" is a must have telephoto zoom for the A-mount. Built in 1985, the Beercan is built like a tank and is a steal for a fixed f/4 telephoto. With a maximum range at 315mm at f/4 on APS-C this lens provides a lot for little money, and easily outperforms the entry Sony and Minolta 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 lenses. These used to sell in the $150 range but prices started to climb once more Sony DSLRs became available, but they can usually still be found in great condition for under $200. They were available with either a plastic or a metal clip style hood. I still keep mine handy as a backup to my
70-200mm f/2.8 G SSM.
