Sony 16-80mm f/3.5-4.5 Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* DT Description:
The Sony SAL-1680Z 16-80mm f/3.5-4.5 Carl Zeiss DT Autofocus Lens is a professional-grade 5X zoom lens specifically designed for the Sony Alpha series and Minolta Digital SLR cameras. Optics have been optimized for the smaller diameter image circle used with digital SLR cameras.
Carl Zeiss' optical design and anti-flare T* coatings used for this lens help to reduce flare and to increase contrast. When used with a digital SLR camera, the equivalent 35mm focal length for this lens is 24-120mm. It is a compact all-in-one lens, and is ideal for snapshots, portraits, interiors or outdoor scenery.
Note! Not compatible with 35mm or "full-frame" digital SLR cameras
- DT lenses employ an optical system that is specifically designed for digital SLR cameras which incorporate an APS-C size CCD image sensor.
- Two glass-molded aspherical lens elements correct visual aberrations and improve picture quality across the entire zoom range.
- The Auto Clutch mechanism stops the manual focus ring from rotating while in AF mode.
