Annual Rodeo

A few from annual rodeo last weekend. The lighting at night is very poor in this arena, so used off camera flash to provide some additional illumination.

Any recommendations for improvement is always appreciated.

Previous upload for some reason shifted everything towards red, didn't catch before upload. I may have accidentally saved with wrong profile. Doh ! Hopefully these following images look better.

Ambient lighting is very poor f2.8 1/30 @ iso 1600 ... , first attempt at off camera flash ... measured light at barrel 1/125 f5.8, light at bull gate 1/125 f8. Used 580ex & 550ex with pocket wizards.

If you could, posy up what settings you were using with the flashed shots. It looks like you were not the 3-stops about ambient it takes to freeze the action. Lots of ghosting going on in the pictures.

Also, make sure you correct the white balance, some of the shots look really red.

#4 would have to be my favorite shot from the bunch though.
