i'm far from a sports shooter, but this was alot of fun. i mean who doesn't like taking pictures of girls?
i'm not going to attach any pictures here, because i'm not sure if -some- would consider it worksafe. i think they're perfectly fine, everyone is clothed and such (they do broadcast this on regular tv in LA)...but it is the "lingerie" football league.
the light levels were too low for my d80 and the 70-200 2.8 and i had to shoot at iso1600 to keep the shutter around 1/400 or better. i put them through a round of noise ninja, downsized to 1024x and smart sharpened at 30%. so, i'm not really looking for advice on the lighting. however if you have any comments on shooting techniques i'm all ears. i'm slated to shoot the next home game (10/23) as well.
if anyone has a nikon d300 (and a cf card or two) or better that they'd like to loan me for 3 days (1 day to get familar, 1 day to shoot, return the 3rd day), it would be -greatly- appreciated
remember, it's possibly NSFW for some, so don't click if you think it might be a problem... http://www.thelabphotography.com/gal...nal/index.html | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

Doctah, who did you pay to get this gig DUDE!
Great shots, just a couple crops are a bit too tight, cutting off hands or other body parts) but I know the action is fast and it was dark so sometimes the crop is off a bit.

yeah some are crops, some aren't. and it was either chop off a hand, or have a phantom hand floating around. doctahjones added 0 Minutes and 43 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below Quote:

Please tell me you didn't get paid to do that. Because if you did, well, that's just not fair.

yeah i dunno why it's called 'lingerie' football, when it's more like 'underwear' football. just a bra, some boy shorts and some pads. *shrug*. i'm still not complainin.
and yeah i didn't get paid...in cash anyway. the experience was worth it to me

I used to have a friend on the Dallas Diamonds women's professional team (tackle, full helmet/pads/the works). A much different kind of lady populates that team, and they are serious and fierce competitors.
