You used your 5D with these shots?????
Were you using a 580 speedlflash or anything else.
My daughter rodeos in college and I am outside and in indoor.
Just bought the 7D this week and am going for the 70-200 2.8 L in a few months. Just wondering what equopment rodeo people use in their shoots.............

5D only. My first rodeo shoot so I can't help much. I will say the 5DII is pretty impressive at high iso's. My friend was using the same rig you are buying. He was saying he wants a 300 prime for this stuff, but ouch 4300.00 bucks anyway I have been planning on the 100-400 IS but it's a little slow. Might not work well in low light they say the IS gets you 1 or 2 stops, we will see.

Thanks Albert. It was fun for sure. I mostly do studio stuff so this was a new adventure for me. I will be doing more for sure. Ordering that 100-400 on Monday. Just wish I had more money to spend so I could get something a little faster. I will be using it for outdoor wildlife shoots mostly so it should work great.

Bit of messing around with a conversion. This was happening at the other end of the arena from me.

I have to say, from a photgraphic stand point, I think the bare backs are the most excting to shoot. The bulls are good but the bronks really put on an arial show.
