Nice shots. This is the second photo I have seen today where the player was in the middle of the action and had their eyes closed (First was (probably) a second baseman making a tag on a runner who was sliding into the base). Apparently high schools are participating in a Zen baseball league these days. :0)

That's alright, all of the pictures my mum has of me playing in Little League are of me pitching with my tongue sticking out of my mouth.

Pitching reflex, I suppose.

The sun was at a terrible angle for anything not at home plate, some clouds would have been nice!

where would you go about standing for baseball photos? never done it before

If you have the lens for it, standing behind first or third base, in foul territory of course. I had to camp outside the dugout just a bit before first base during this game. Its a little scary being that close.
