Hanging at Lonestar Park - 05-15-2010, 05:48 PM

Spent a couple of hours at Lonestar Park today. Track was muddy, it was humid, and overcast. Kind of a blah day but these are a few of my faves. I have a hard time hanging around for 20-25 minutes for each race only to squeeze off a few shots each time. I have no patience.

Anyways, here are a few of my faves from today.

This is what you look like when you're at the back of the pack on a muddy day.

Good crisp, colorful photos with good composition -- what's not to like! Well done.

Wonder if the Houston track would be nice and muddy today. That would be a fun time to shoot.

Thanks, guys. Regarding the last pic, I remember thinking, "everyone likes to shoot the guy that crosses the finish line first... let's see what the guy in the back loons like.". Sure enough - covered in mud.

Long time, no post...I know this is old thread.....
Hope they are still photographer friendly. I am headed out today for the first time with a 300 and monopod. Wonder if I can shoot Ted Nugent afterwards? Hrmm.. ;)
