Here are some suggestions.

Crop tighter, not all of picture is needed to show content. Try not to have out of focus subjects in foreground if possible.

Crop out dead space.

Crop out dead space and hope that you can get ball closer to glove.

Not as much dead space in this one but crop anyway.

as I have been told by sports shooters, "shoot tight and crop tighter" good shots by the way.

Look closely at the first photo around the face of the girl pitching and at the lettering on the jersey of the girl in the last photo. Do you see the areas that seem to be distorted, sort of wavy areas? That generally happens when you compress a photo and information is lost. There are several ways to post photos on forums and none are perfect but some work better than others. IMO.

I gotten to where I only use "Save to Web" in PS CS3. This method will shrink the image and help keep more of the fine details. Here is a link on a "How To"

YouTube - Web Design Tutorial - Save For Web in Photoshop

I see you have been on this forum far a while now and you have not seen this on a thread before?

I am happy to help. If I am posting an image for content I wil just shrink it changing the pixel dimensions. But if I am asking for C&C I want the best possible image I can upload with the size limitations.
