A few of my favs from a recent trip to Fenway Park. I'm still kind of a nubbie, so feedback/constructive criticism welcome.

Thanks!

Looks like a fun trip.

I really hate selective color and the rest are a bit too oversaturated.

Yeah I think it would be fun to visit some of the old stadiums. Unfortunately there really aren't very many left to visit :-(.

I really like some of the post-processing on some of the photos and then on others it just doesn't work. I really like the one with the retired numbers. I might dial back the the shadowing in the top corners since the black underneath the seating is so dominating.

I think the No. 18 shot is good the way it's processed. I probably would have framed it a little different.

Most of this though is very subjective on these types of shots. I always say that if you like these types of shots in the end that is what matters most.

Jason & Kay-D,

Thanks for the feedback. There was a lot of great stuff to shoot. I wish I had more time. Thinking back, there's stuff I didn't get to shoot (like some of the old seats) that I'm kicking myself for not getting. Oh well, just another excuse to go back.

@Jason - After further scrutinization, I completely agree with you regarding the retired numbers, too much shadowing. As I'm trying to learn more about perspective and framing, if you have time, I'd love to hear how you may have framed the 18 shot, so I can take that into consideration the next time the opportunity presents itself. I agree with your comments on the subjectivity of the shots. I know all photography is art, but I was probably leaning more to the art side with some of these shots and thus the exaggerated colors and selective coloring.

@Kay-D - I thought that the reds around the park really lent themselves to the selective coloring. I wouldn't have done so much of it otherwise. Unfortunately, my origins as a web designer make me very susceptible to over-tweaking, I guess it's in my nature. That's for your words of encouragement . They are appreciated.
