It's not illegal hands to the face.

The guy with the ball is allowed to stiff arm.

But I think the wrapping of the fingers may be a little much.

Depends on where the Ref was and how long the contact was.

We had a dominant team. They would tell us no more offensive TD's.

If we scored, we got flagged.

I am not by any means a football guru but I thought when there was a grip on the face mask, that constituted illegal hands to the face. The runner let go of his face mask after he had turned him around by it...

To me below is a great stiff arm.

Yea, that's what I mean by wrapping the fingers. A little to much in a still picture. No telling how it looked in real life to the Ref.

Generally if the runner didn't try to jerk the guys head around its not going to be called.

Runner in green has defender on top of him, behind him and in front. From the ground up you see the runner's legs, right arm cradling the ball, his chest, and another defender helping the runner see the defender on top of him, by twisting his face mask counter clockwise (head inside).

The next shot does show that the helmet was completely pulled off and was placed about 3 feet away by the defender in front. No call on this by the ref.

No photographer was hurt in the making of that image. :)

The player, Shady Orange (his real name I'm told) wasn't injured either. But it is beyond me to figure out why. Looked painful to me too.
