The Duck Slough - 01-16-2011, 12:33 PM

The woods and water of my home county in Northeast Texas are a magical place. Every year I carve out a few days of my time to share the marsh with my brother and any other friends we can convince to come along.

This year's trips have been magnificent so far. Not a ton of ducks but that's okay. What matters is the strengthening of the bonds of friendships. Ducks come and go but the memories remain.

If I were a duck and I saw that hombre with the beard and the face black, I'd probably die of fright without a shot being fired.

Nice series.

Love the one with the sleet in the beard. What commitment.

Jaw Droppers, all of them.

Because of this thread, I am going to head to the woods behind my parents home soon. I haven't walked those acres of hardwoods in 20 years or better.

Thank you so much for sharing your work.
