Michael Johnson Track Meet Waco, Major OOPS! - 04-24-2011, 10:46 AM

Critique: NC:

I was in Waco covering the Michael Johnson/Dr Pepper Classic track meet yesterday for SHSU SID and had a lot of fun (excluding the sunburn, tired feet from shoot nine hours in the sun, etc). Here are some of the typical shots from the meet:

As you can see, an exciting, but typical day at the track and field competition. I make it a habit to shoot everything I can even if it is not for the team I am there for, and here is the reason why:

Everyone there except me knew the sound without looking. There was a collective inhale when it happened. I quickly looked around and did not see any other photographers so I think I am the only one who got the shot. It is always easy to delete shots you don't want, you can't get shots like this once you miss them.

Hope you enjoyed!

Allan

She was visibly shaken but completely unharmed. Heck, everyone around there was visibly shaken! I believe she went again a few minutes later, she has more guts than I do!

Not necessarily : ) The last capture reminds me of this very old, photo by my Dad. I think it won some kind of award. Both photos feature a person looking in amazement. Great stuff! Did you get one more of the landing?
