EXIF data and Meta Data may be the same thing. I have always called it EXIF data. It is the properties of the picture that are recorded by the camera when the picture is taken.
I have a couple of different EXIF readers installed on my browser. Here are examples of each for the photo below. If I want to read the EXIF data and it is there all I have to do is right click on the photo and pick which reader I want to use.
