AAYFC Cheer Comp Couple of Images. - 10-27-2007, 11:51 PM

I had the opportunity to take some images at a cheer competition today. It was not easy, the lighting definately sucked alot in the highschool gym. I took with me three lenses, the 70-200mm F2.8L IS, the 50mm F1.8, and the 85mm F1.8 USM II lens.

The best images came from both of the 1.8 lenses, and the 70-200mm lens, well; I should have left it home.

1st image is the 50mm 2nd is the 85mm and 3rd is the 70-200mm WITH IS enabled.

I hear ya about the lighting. In most of these gyms is rough with the lights.

Looks like your WB is a bit warm on the last two.

Yeah I had noticed that too, about 1/3rd came out that way for some reason. I'm still trying to figure out why since I didn't touch it except for the first 10 or so images when I was setting up. I'm gonna have alot of PP to do. Those images are basically right out the camera, except for shrinking down and adding logo.

Here is another image I picked on... it was really bad, but between Photoshop, DDP and NeatImage.. I managed to make it 1/3rd the way decent.

take the cloner to it and you'll have a nice portrait. Not that it isn't good already.
