Great shots and great timing!
I hadn't noticed the missing feet until you mentioned it, but now that you pointed it out it does bother me a bit. I think it would have been better to have all 4 feet in, but the shot still works because the facial expressions really draw your eye up in the frame.

Very nice! I like the action of #1 and the bokeh of #2. What were your settings on these? Did you have to go high ISO?

Thanks for the info.
Yeah, I like to underexpose also to get the shutter speeds up (RAW is great that way). I usually keep it to -2/3. I shot a swim meet yesterday, and tried a full stop underexposure. But it seemed to be too much when I adjusted the exposure in post processing. I know people say you can recover more than a stop using RAW, but maybe my skills aren't good enough for that.

Nice shots Frank! I like the facial expressions in #2 enough that the chopped off feet don't bother me. It'd be better if you'd gotten the entire ball, but still -- the faces are great!
I looked through the rest of mine last night and found some that I like better than what I posted earlier -- I'll have to post some more tonight. I also underexposed to get my shutter speed up (since I was ISO 1600 and f/4, boooo), 1/3 - 2/3 a stop. Thanks for posting your settings -- it helps me a lot to know what others were shooting! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
