Texans vs Falcons...The Game Winner - 12-04-2011, 10:32 PM

Critique: NC:

It was sure nice of Arian Foster and the Texans to accommodate my first pro football shoot by coming right at me for what would be the game winning score.

Thanks. While taking the photos, I didn't notice whose helmet was knocked off. But after the game, I was asked if I got the photo of Arian Foster knocking off #23, and ex-Texan, Dunte Robinson. And then last night one of the local stations was doing a wrap up show and both of the reporters mentioned that Foster had knocked off Robinson's helmet on his way into the endzone. How odd that many people wanted it to be Robinson.

tc95, thank you and actually I got to roam the sidelines. Also, this was taken with a Sigma lens and it has served me well.

Tom, thanks for your comment. Though there wasn't much offense, it was still a fantastic game to watch and shoot.

By the way, it was FB James Casey who knocked off #53's helmet allowing Foster to score.

Aah I saw you then, I remember admiring the lens both because I want one and because it has the heavier duty tripod foot that doesn't look like its going to snap off at any moment

He was covering the game. Fans cant reach field level in the end zones or on the Houston sideline.

Andrew is correct. I was shooting for a local newspaper so I was on the sidelines. By the way, I am a season ticket holder and I have seen people in the lower level shooting with a 70-200mm. But that is the largest I have noticed.

Thanks Jim. As a season ticket holder since the beginning, I always wondered what it would be like to be on the sidelines. Hopefully, this won't be my last.
