I wish that I had a different shooting position for this catch by Montana State WR Elvis Akpla. Below the last frame is a video clip of the catch.

These are great shots. But a different angle would of been nice. Great catch and big effort to hold on to the ball.

I don't know why I find that comment humorous. It's not like he can make them do it over so he can get a better angle.

David - It's a great series.

Great captures. But on angles, I'd like to see these side by side with those of the photog opposite you, seen in image 1. That would be a neat side by side.

Good series.

I'm assuming you're talking about the "Kats" and not the "Cats." Unfortunately, things did not go well for my Bobcats.

After so many years of going against them, I have to admit I'm going to have a hard time rooting for the Griz next weekend...

Yes Ken I gradumacated ( joking of course) from Sam in '92 and we never played well back then so it is nice to see them make a run for a championship.

I gradjeeated from MSU in 85 and ditto with our football program then. Heck, the Klein HS stadium my kids' football team plays in is better than the one we had when I was in college. I agree, it is nice to see them in the championship run. Best of luck in the game this Saturday against the Grizzlies. From what I've seen of both teams, it should be evenly matched and a good game.

Patrick, I'll try to post some pics later. Heck I'll see what else I have of the Bobcats for Ken Snyder.

Andyz, I wondered how his shots came out since he was shooting into the sun.

Tom, the shot in the first frame is similar to the one run by the AP and shot by Eric Christian Smith of the Chronicle. It was nice to meet Eric. I am curious as to how long it takes him to go through all his pics. Talk about a bundle of energy, he was all over the place.

Eric is a great guy. He was probably done selecting, captioning, editing and sending pictures within 30-60min of the end of the game.

Thanks! I'd appreciate that very much.

Needless to say, I don't get to many Bobcat games--last one I was able to attend was when they played that little school up in College Station a few years back. That one didn't go well for us either, as I recall.

How were you able to get sideline access? Do you know someone on the team or in the football program? Or are you shooting for a publication?

I noticed Eric in the back ground in one of the photos I am fixing to post.
