Dude, love them. I would love to shoot winter sports sometime! The lens looks good at 500mm!

Had to be fun to shoot Carlos. I like your captures on 3, 4 and 5; especially 3.

Super crisp shots! #3 is my favorite because you can see where the skier has been and where she is going and I like the expression on her face.

I like #s 1 & 2 because they show the aggression these skiers have when attacking a course. The unbelievable angles they achieve with their skis and body is amazing.

Very nice shots. You did a great job there! I love how you can see their faces in most of them.

Thumbs up Fine Work - 02-10-2012, 09:53 PM

Very nice work: sharp with good exposure and contrast. I have done little work beyond 200mm; just out of curiosity, did you focus beforehand on an area and allow the skier to enter the frame before tripping the shutter.

Bruce, thanks for you coment. I used AIservo with rear focus button, just sit on the focus button and let the AIservo follow.

Excellent shots! I always enjoy seeing pictures from Montana--I was born there and went to college in Bozeman (though I grew up in the Seattle area).

I was thinking the Montana Snow Bowl was an event. I googled it and found it's a ski area. I REALLY need to get back up there more than once a year!
