Young Race Car Drivers

Got a chance to go to Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale on Saturday for a friend of mine to get some photos of some friends of his out on the track during an Enduro Race (250 laps around a dirt track, race doesn't have cautions unless there is a major wreck that blocks the track).

Anyway here are a few of the ones I got, Granted I wished I would have had a 70-200 2.8 or even a 300 2.8 for when it got dark but all I had was my 70-300 4-5.6 on my 10D so dont mind the noise to much I didn't want to make it look too plastic by running it through NI.

The 2 kids in the Blue Monte Carlos were 12 and 15 driving around the track in beat up Chevy's (THE BES THERE IS ) running all out to get to the checkered flag.

cool to see young kids racin i always wonder where all the other noise comes from when I am shootin at the dragstrip down the road lol

Thanks for being the only one to reply thus far (he he) when I went out there Saturday night I was gonna try and stop by the speedway to see if maybe you were there and introduce myself.

You always out there? Noticed your website and all so I figured you were shooting out there quite a bit.

Although I was out at Cowtown for a friend of mine for some reason or other even though I didn't have any fast glass with me I was getting hassled by the "Track Photographer" He was wondering was I with the Paper or who I was shooting for, I kept telling him I was there shooting for a friend of mine at work like 3 different times and I think he finally understood I was not there trying to get "His Territory".

Anyway thanks for taking the time to look and whenever you want to go out and shoot give me a holler, I would love to try and come out to the speedway.

im usually on teh starting line durin the event rounds
