I was afraid of that.

Plus, if you do get one.. gertting inside the ropes is prob outta the question.. so dont know what kinda shots you would come up with.

I've heard that is always a problem. Kinda wanted to walk around and get candid shots of the crowds and players.

I just saw this thread and I am shooting the SHO for 2 local papers. Picking up my creds this Thursday. Everything is new and has changed for 2006. They have all new rules that I have to sign when I go up there.


Here is the public policy for cameras;

Cameras and Photography

The PGA TOUR sets policies regarding the use of cameras at its Tournaments. Please note that cameras will be permitted only during the Practice Rounds and Pro-Am Rounds Monday-Wednesday. Cameras will not be permitted on the grounds during the Tournament Rounds, Thursday through Sunday. You may wish to inform your guests of this policy in order to avoid any embarrassment.

A. Who do you shoot for? Creds are only for media.
B. Deadline for media was the 7th.


You can go shoot as the general public with the restrictions in my above post.

oh sweet. so all id have to do is get a ticket for the practice round and bring my camera and its all gravy? im not a pro so im not shooting for anyone else but my own enjoyment.
