The 2006 Bar-H Bash biketrials competition was held yesterday in St. Jo, TX.

As a former biketrials rider, I still follow the sport fairly closely, especially the progress of my old riding buddies. A friend I got started in trials ended up winning the Pro class at this event. A classic case of the student eclipsing the teacher.

Here's my friend going from flat ground to the top of a car.

This one isn't action filled, but I think it summarizes my favorite aspect of the sport - Studying the next challenge / obstacle, and trying to figure out how to get through it.

I couldn't get as close to the action as I would have liked, and I could have used a polarizing filter, and MAN, did I get sunburned. There wasn't hardly a cloud in the sky.
But still, I had plenty of fun taking these.

hehee and i cant even "bunnyhop" up onto a street curb... hehe

Awesome! One of the things I used to like about traveling to Europe was all the trials events over there. Eurosport would always televise the motorcycle trials and those were pretty incredible. Doing it on a bike has to be insane because you can't just "bump" the throttle!

Since your are fairly close, where can we find out about stuff like this happening in the metroplex?
