Okay. I've been playing around with ps and the jump out features. Here's my first attempt. Hope it adds a little something to the photo I got of the MS 150 riders.

I like the shot and the way you framed it,
Looks like they are coming right out of the pictures.

I like it, but there's a hidden rider that nags at me since all you see is a part of the wheel from the front rider's left foot. I keep seeing that and looking to figure out what it is.

I need to play with this effect.

Since you slanted the background separate from the riders, the shadows on the road no longer line up. Also the white line in the left seems out of proportion. Good first try though. I personally prefer not distorting the background and just adding a frame, allowing the subject to jump out of the frame.

Thanks for checking it out. I made several mistakes but overall I think it came out decent. Will have to do a lot of attempts at this jump out feature before I get it down just right. Sooooo much to learn :D

Thanks Sheldon. No. I was just on my way home on FM 2145 where the riders were just a few miles from the fairgrounds in La Grange and got out and snapped some photos.

If anyone recognizes them let me know. I'll send them a photo. :)

Hey Carolyn, your second attempt is definitely an improvement -- the mystery third wheel is gone, though the guy in front still has a bit of a third arm and leg... :) The shadow of the woman looks strange as well since it doesn't line up anymore, but overall I think it's a neat effect.

Even without the 3D going on, I think it's a great shot. Good color, and the bikers look like they're have a great time!

Okay. I've tweeked as much as I can tweek. Got the finished photo at my PhotoBucket site. No more third arm, extra leg and the shadow is fixed. Feel free to check it out. :)

Thanks for all the critiques. Very helpful in my learning process. Makes me take a much closer look at my work.
