Need HELP ASAP. - 09-01-2007, 05:52 PM

Ok Sports Fans,
I really need some help here. I will have the opportunity to shoot an "Old English Style" Horse event on the 15th of this month here in Richmond Virginia and need any pointers photos or advice would be greatly appreciated. All I know about the event so far is its not what you see on TV but they do some jumping.

There is GREAT opportunity for me to possibly make some decent $$$$$ at this if I am able to get the "SHOT". If anyone has some photos or advice or anything it would be greatly appreciated. I know there was a similar event I think in the DFW area a while back and there were a few Photog's out there like Brad Barton and others but not sure if it was the "OLD ENGLISH STYLE" of Riding.

I will have a 24-70 2.8 and a 70-200 2.8 as well as a 580 for my 20D for this event. I hope to shoot from 8:00 am until about 2:00 in the afternoon maybe later depending on other things possibly going on that weekend.

If anyone could POSSIBLY help it would be great appreciated as stated.

Thanks,

Stephen Gibson

It could very well be a hunt event. Hounds chasing a fox with riders on their horses giving chase. If that is the case it is not a localized event but rather one that travels a considerable distance as it unfolds. You need to get some clarification before you can make a plan....

We were shooting steeplechase.. don't think what you'll be doing is anything remotely like it.... but then, that was the one and only time I've ever shot a horse event, so......

I think you'll get a good idea from google and watching at the event itself what the exciting bits are... shoot those. LOL
