UNT -v- Navy Game Today - 11-10-2007, 09:10 AM

Have a quick question -- when I read the UNT Stadium policy it states "small" cameras are OK. Does anyone know if my "small" 20D with a 70x200mm lens falls in that range? Or if I dropped it down *grrr* to only carrying my 17-55mm on it would qualify? I'd hate to hoof it to the tailgate party & then get told no at the gate

Thanks for anyone's thoughts!

I've never had a problem getting my equipment in last year. I know other people who bring in their SLRs too without problem. It's an art school and there are a lot of people with SLRs. I bet you'll be alright. I shoot for the university now, so I don't know exactly. speaking of which...

EVERYONE!
Look for me in a helicopter, right at the start of the game, (or first quarter) taking photos. I'll probably make just 1 or two passes. It will be a really small helicopter, and I would love if you snapped a shot of me for me.
please please please.

If you post on here that you will, I'll pm you and get your email or something. It would be much appreciated.

Great! Thanks a million. Our first time to a UNT game so I was really hoping I could actually carry in my gear. I'll certainly keep my eyes open for the chopper & see if I can get a decent shot! Keep in mind tho .. I aint near the caliber shutterbug most of these folks here are yet

Very much appreciate your response!!

great...

it turns out that I won't be flying over because FFA will not let me. The Navy is having fighter jet fly overs before the game, and we're not allowed within 3 miles of the stadium an hour before or after the game. erg!

You can still look for me though and snap a shot.
I 'll look something like this:

and you'll probably find me somewhere close to the dancers... I can't resist.

Missed your note 'cause we were long gone from DFW to get to Denton by then. I figured you must not have made it to the air 'cause no choppers were any closer than the airport. We were in Sec.AA & the F-18 flyover was much better than most I've seen. They were pretty low over the stadium! Was glad to see the stadium was so camera friendly. Nice campus. Running over a bra in the roadway on C Street, looking for parking, reminded me how much fun college can be. LMAO!

Couldnt believe the scoring we witnessed. Of course both teams wont have to look long & hard at those films tomorrow to figure out they are both hurtin for a defense ;)

We had a great time. Will have to look for ya in my pix when they're loaded. Lots of extremely nice glass down on the field

WE MADE SPORTS CENTER!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!

UNT and NAVY had a combined total of 136 points, a new NCAA record for a single game. And a bunch of other records too.

And since 26,000+ people showed up to a North Texas football game, we need to play NAVY every year!

I'll post some of my stuff form the game later...Saturday was a long day: TAPPS volleyball at 9am, college football at 3, college basketball at 7:30pm. Fun!

Why in the world would the Future Farmers of America restrict your helicopter flight. Who do they think they are, the FAA ??

It would appear that neither team has a defense.

Wow, I wish I could have seen that game! My cousin threw a good game that's for sure... 478 yards and 8 touchdowns!

Your cousin has the makings of a pro already. And I believe he will only accelerate in ability beneath the capable coaching of Todd Dodge

I really agree. I'm glad to see him doing so well too! Even with a sub-par defense
