This is my first post here, I've been lurking for awhile trying to learn from all the good advice and images here. I thought I would post some of my soccer pics from the last 2 weeks for C&C. I think they are better than last years though the 40D upgrade from the XT may have played more of a part than any increased skill on my part.

I mostly shoot nature/Landscapes, but my son is playing JV and his best friend is on Varsity so I have been trying to learn low-light stadium technique.

Small world. The coach, Matt Grubb, also coaches my daughter's FC Dallas Academy team.

Yep, small world. Not sure what the team will be like this year. These pics are from pre-season scrimmages. Tournament play this weekend will be interesting.

Anyone else have C&C? I think I need to be cropping closer and working on better backgrounds. I gather from reading here that lighting at night games will always be a problem.

Any other tips? Anything I can do differently in post? I had been shooting in RAW but I tried these in jpeg to see if it affected my processing times. I didn't see much difference but I'm sure I can improve my workflow. I used Lightroom on these.
