Jody Rock Climbing - Rumble in the Jungle - 02-27-2008, 12:14 PM


Just recently, my friend Jody Hanson climbed this line out at Hueco Tanks Park. These climbs are rated on a "V" scale i.e. V0, V1, V2, V3 depending on there difficulty. The scale goes from V0 - V15. V15 has been climbed by maybe 3-5 people in the world. This climb is rated a V12 putting Jody into a very small category of women climbers who have climbed this rating. So congratulations to her!!! So... now of course the question is... how did YOU get to that position to shoot.

Those are really awesome and holy mackerel she's almost parallel to the ground and climbing. Major props.

hahaha... ummmmmm, I stood on the ground and shot them..... It was a cave area and all I had to do was scramble around on some rocks to get there. Thanks for the props!!!

she looks like shes got more grit than those boulders. problem looks kin hard. Big pulls on those two pinches. photos are hot! did you send um to the magazines yet? mustbe hard to setup in such a confined space.

theres nothing between 1 and 2 right? which makes that pretty far and the more i look at it the more that pinch in 2 looks gak. she shure is strong... in 2 her forearm is almost as wide as her thigh!!!

:) I just googled it, thats equivalent of Brit E8!!! good effort lady!
