For those of you that stuck around this long - obviously focus not where I intended but for some reason I kind of like it. Thoughts?

Hey, thats where i graduated from! (Rockwall) But great series, its sad that soccer season is done around here. Did you shoot any of the football season this year or last? I actually made it down there to cover a few games.

I haven't shot any football. I got started shooting soccer because my son play on the JV Team. I have 2 older sons that graduated in 2007 and 2005 that are at Baylor now.

No doubt. Two more weeks of soccer then I have a 2 day trip to Fork in mid-March. After that I am busy until almost the end of April. You should have found all the good spots to point me to by then. ;-)

What lens/camera/settings were you using? I'm having a REALLY hard time with my son's varsity games. Are you allowed to go stand on the sideline? Our coach is kinda scary so I haven't asked.

Nice stuff... shooting at 3200 scares me to death ('course, I'm stuck with the Nikon D2Hs)... I'll get soccer tonight boys and girls. Yay.

Tough call between 2 and 3 for my faves.

It was shot at ISO 3200, 1/500th of a second, f/2.8 on a 40D, pretty sure the lens was a 70-200 2.8

bigjon0107 has it all down. All Canon stuff, although after seeing some shots from the Sigma 120-300 2.8 I'm thing that might be in the works for next year.

DeannaD - I am usually kneeling right on the sidelines or endlines. At night there are usually too many shadow to shoot from the endlines without flash. I try to shoot no less that 1/400.

I shot with a Rebel XT last year and I think 3200 on the 40D is cleaner than 1600 on the Rebel. My post may have improved a bit too.
