I on the internet looking for events to shoot. I thought some soccer (football) might be interesting. That is until I found out big lenses are forbidden (verboten).

Looks like big lenses are black guns are universally feared. Do I need to find less offensive hobbies? -G

Cameras/Video Equipment
Cameras with lenses that are five inches in length or more are prohibited at all events inside the stadium at Pizza Hut Park unless accompanied by approved media credentials. The AAC, or at least the Dallas Stars, dropped their restriction. Last time I checked the AAC web site it said there was still a ban on big lenses.

I checked the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans web sites as well. Both have restrictions. The Texas Rangers just said that anything that might interrupt the enjoyment of the fans would be disallowed. Oh, and they get to decide was is disruptive.

Anyway, I was just looking for some venues to shoot. I thought that trying my hand at some sports photography might be fun. I enjoy sport and thought that this might be a way for me to bring my enjoyment to a new level.

Have fun y'all. -G

Try Quick Trip and the Airhogs, or LaGrave Field and the Cats. Very photographer friendly.
