Frisco Rough Rider Game 13, June

Well, we went to the Frisco Rough Riders baseball game Friday night. I wish I had a bit longer lens for the event or maybe in future I will try an afternoon game where I can use the doubler. As night time fell it became more difficult for me to get good shots.

No lefties to get face shots? What lens did you use? Which f stop? Evenings get difficult without the right lens and settings. Thanx for sharing?

Sorry, I did not get any pictures of the lefties. These four were taken with the Nikon 70-200mm f2.8. Aperture was f2.8 and +1.0EV exposure compensation.

It was getting close to the end of the game and I thought I would try to get some pics of the pitcher last minute. I changed the camera into continuous-high shutter release and the lens in continuous focusing and just let 'em rip. It took a couple of pitches for me to get follow the pitcher as he moves forward during release.

The last pic. I tried to lighten in post processing but I think I over did it. Got too grainy.
I will see if I have any interesting pics of the batters and share them later. -G
