No cc?? No love?? I guess that means it either it sucks, or it's perfect.... I am hoping for the latter.

Merrick, great shot. I love the vantage point and the lighting is spot on. I could do w/out the person standing on the ground, but love the rest of it.

agree with David - might could do a square crop and cut out the person on the bottom - might also give the illusion that the main figure is further up and add to the "tension".

Also - "either is perfect, or it sucks... I am hoping for the latter"... wouldn't you mean former? ; ) Of course my grammar sucks, so maybe you gottit right?

agreed lighing is awesome... considering its likely to be a remote area youve done really well. merrick- the guy below - thats a spotter mate (theyre your mate and theyre there to stop your head from decking out before your body) my mates saved my head a few times on cul de chien in fontainebleau. So... Probably a good idea for him to be in the shot.

rad shot, looks steep and good.

how was the walk-in with a generator in tow?

LOL. Nope. And only one rock gym that I can find in the NW corner. I'm about to sell my shoes and chalk bag as I don't get to climb anymore, and the one gym isn't all that much to rave about, so I don't go there.

Yeah, the guy a the bottom is what's known as a "spotter". Not there to catch them, just guide them into some pads we have laid down. I wish I could get him out of the shot, but it's kind of a safety thing. Shot would be cooler w/o the spotter for sure.

The rock is limestone. I didnt bring the generator down there, but hauling my camera, battery and strobes wasn't that much fun, but not to bad. I am getting used to it.

I grew up climbing at that gym in the NW. Used to be called Exposure. Loved that place. Last time I checked, it wasn't that bad of an indoor gym.

Thanks for all the positive comments!
