High School Football

Heres a few shots I've gotten of my son's High School team this year. All shot with a Fuji S5000. Hopefully by next year I'll have stepped up to a DSLR for a little better shots.

Great shots!! Looks like you really froze the action on these!! I like #2 & #6 the best. #3 and #4 are a little busy.... at least to my eyes, but really good efforts, nonetheless.

Thanks... I've been trying for a shot like #6 most of the season and this was the 2nd to last game. That was actually the last play of the game too. They use a 45 point mercy rule and that put them over it.

One thing I did learn this season is to not get too wrapped up in the pictures. Came close to getting nailed several times and some of those kids are alot bigger than me...lol

great shots even with a point and shoot. Those pics remind me of my days in high school (a LONG time ago) when the football team played some of their games on a dirt field

I've got plenty of those shots too. Only a couple of the games were during the day. Last game they played was at night and it was drizzling on and off all night. I'd take some shots until it started again and shove the camera under my jacket.
