What an absolutely wonderful image! Just love it! I like the clarity, the essence of early morning, the gradient blue in the sky, and the sunbeams.

Well done.

I shot some little league stuff this weekend and I wouldn't have even dreamed of taking such an image. That is really nice. I've got to think out of the box more.

I gotta go wide every now an then - sports shooters often get so caught up in tight and fast!

Good luck

jason - thx for the kind words.

chemisti - yup your right tight and fast has been the norm for me this season. I have a series of pictures from this season as I volunteered to shoot the season and create a photo book of the kids vs the standard team picture we normally do. Every game i learned something and got better, so the wide was at one game when I was just trying something different.

What a shot. The colors are just stunning! I too sometimes take the 10-22 out at games especially since I got my second body. 70-200 on my 40D and the 10-22 on my 30D I have had some real cool shots getting on the ground right by a base and shooting a wide shot (although none as good as this!)

thx for the comments patrick! two bodies now that would be nice! so you gave me a great though, never thought of getting down low, i.e. perhaps lying on the ground down the first baseline, might generate some really cool shots.......next season :-)

Is that photo doctored or is that color natural?

If it's natural... wow, thats drooling baseball weather. What a beautiful shot.

Imagine a City where graffiti wasn't illegal, a city where everybody could draw whatever they liked. Where every street was awash with a million colors and little phrases. Where standing at a bus stop was never boring. A city that felt like a living breathing thing which belonged to everybody, not just the estate agents and the barons of big business. The power of expression and change has been restored to the people. Imagine a city like that and stop leaning up against the wall. It's wet.

hey sean,

i processed it in photoshop (so yes doctored). I pumped up the saturation some, darkened the sky slightly, and added a bit of a vignett, which helped bring down the intensity of the sun, and enhance the rays a bit.

thx for the comments!
