Fantastic set Albert! You have a great eye for the action.
What lens are you shooting these with?

Thanx ya'll. Yeah Deon saw me and a few other photogs shooting him. He just kept watching the game.
Joe I used my trusty Sigma 120-300 2.8. That thing is rock solid man I love it. I had my doubts at first but it just took one game to realize how fast and sharp that lens is.
I was going to save up the difference and then sell it to buy a Nikon 300 2.8 but there's no way now. This one is sharp and it saved me alot of $$$!
Thanx! | | | |

Nice work. Sigma seems to have tightened up there quality control quite a bit. Wonder what is next from them, that 120-300 seems to be hard to beat.

Thanx Robert that Sigma is really doing a great job. I also love that I can zoom back out to 120 if I want so I get more than just being at 300mm.
Thanx Deanna, I use a single focus point only and not the 9, 21 or 51. I want to choose whats in focus.
Center or Spot meter. AF-C focus mode. Indoors I use custom white balance with an expodisc and outdoors is set at auto.
Hope this helps. | | | |

But what PictureControl.. you know like Vivid, STandard, Neutral, Portrait...
I'm totally envious of that lens.. I have 70-200 Sigma and I would love that extra 100.

VERY nice work Albert! I got a chance to photograph Deion Jr. this summer whithout even knowing it at a 7-on-7 event.
I owned the Sigma 300 2.8 before I switched to the Nikon version and that lens was anything but sharp, so glad to keep hearing that the Sigma is turning around. Everyone that owns the 100-300 seems to be very happy with it.
Wish they would come out with a 200-400 2.8. That would be nice!

Great images!!
Why not use the expodisc outdoors?? The stadium lights seem to be as crazy and varied from one location to the next, just as shooting indoors would be.
Having asked that question... I have been using the expodisc at high school stadiums and as some of my posted images have shown, my white balance has been less than true. Is it best to let the camera decide with the auto setting??

Doug more often than not I personally use auto and then tweak it as needed in post-processing. I think this issue probably comes down to a matter of personal habit.

I have the 120-300 f/2.8 as well and mine is super sharp as well. And it is extremely fast to focus.
