MKIII owners & custom function settings - 02-12-2009, 05:34 PM

I picked up a used MKIII last night. Today I started going through the custom functions and feel a bit overwhelmed. I primarily shoot daytime sporting events and some indoor/evening events (hoping to do more).

Would the MKIII owners mind posting their custom function settings? I'd like to get a general idea of where to start then customize them to suit my needs.

Thank you in advance. Any help would be appreciated.

Of course, you could have left all my custom settings in, instead of deleting them. Hopefully some of these will help:

Setting up the Mk III
Seeting up the Mark III to match MarkIIn settings
Custom functions thread (POTN)
CSD settings discussion (POTN)

I know, but this way will immediately force me to learn most/all of the CFs.

Thank you Brian, for the camera and the links.

You need to find the .pdf that refers to all of the functions. What most don't understand is that there is a major correlation between function III-4 and a couple of the others...I've used the settings, and the camera is much better...I can send you a .zip of the .csd files...with the names that Canon set.

That's the one...it really is an improvement over the guessing game that most of us played for so long...
