Dang, Modano! I like the reaction of the lady in the second row. Those are some pretty awesome pictures, from all three posts.

Any chance we could get the EXIF on these? I plan on taking my D3 down there to shoot the Stars/Blues game on the 26th and am interested in some of your settings. Where were you sitting?

From the looks of the pics id say he's got media credentials. The AAC has lens ports at the corners of the glass for media photogs to shoot through. Shot with a 70-200 or 135 maybe? Although I've seen a lot of people walking around with what looks like 300's or 400's slung over their shoulders.

Whatever the case, have fun and post pics!

Yep,

Media Creds.
All shot from the middle of the stands.
I was in the same row with the video cameras.
I shot at Manual mode, some 1600 to 2000 ISO and SS @ 1250 to 2000 depending.

Yep.

I know this isn't exactly the same since I am a Canon shooter.. But I am now pretty much dialed in now.

Manual: Kelvin set at 4200k... Although I hear with Nikon, 3650ish works well.

F2.2, 1/1600, ISO 1600 with my 135L through the glass ports.

Up where Manny was...

F2.8, 1/1250, ISO 2000 with 300L F2.8IS

The ends of the rink are a tad darker than the center...I shoot RAW and tend to overexpose by about 1/3 or less of a stop. I bring them back in post and it helps with getting their skin/face to pop with their black jerseys.

Great stuff again Manny.
