Hi Lonnie,

It is just a change in StudioCloud's business model. We are known for online and offline software that syncs together to make your business mobile. That is what most of our clients subscribe to our software for. They are able to have their data sync from their laptop to their iPhone and to their computer at the office, or they can login from any internet browser.

In today's economy there are a lot of photographers that just need a desktop solution that lets them get organized and stay on top of things without paying hundreds or thousands of dollars. That is what this free version will do. It resides on your desktop but does not sync to the internet, other devices, etc. It does include all the business management tools with no limit on data, time, etc. In other words, it is not a "dummied down" product. At anytime, if you want mobility or multiple employee logins and functionality you can upgrade to one of our Boosts for a small monthly fee. No Boosts are required to download and own the free product. It it yours for free. It includes a user manual, online tutorials and videos, and a community forum. If you upgrade to any Boost you also receive email/trouble ticket support.

If your accountant (or you) needs your data in Quickbooks you can export to Quickbooks.
