Just reserved it for 1-4 this coming on 11/15. Every time I've been in a studio in the past it has always been with someone else (Brad, Scott Watters, etc. - folks that know what they're doing). I'm going to see how I manage on my own this time. Do I know enough that I would be comfortable bringing a client there on my own? We'll find out.

I see that David said that one of the lights has a radio trigger on it. Is it compatible with Pocket Wizards?

Tom - if you want to come hang with us you're more than welcome. I'll have a Diet Coke for ya.

I have Fridays from 6-9 booked every week. However, I am only (very slowly) starting to use the space. Regardless, it's nice to be able to have a place/dates/times available to book clients. Eventually, I hope to get some consistent use...

And Wes... No it is not PWiz compatible. They are the ebay triggers. I actually have a few if you want to borrow a set. I use Pocket Wizards these days, but have a few older ebay triggers...

Wes, if you dont have triggers, then use the wireless ones the studio has. If you cant find theirs, normally on the wall next to the desk. My locker is unlocked and I have a set there. Set the reciever on one of your lights, I like to use the main, and the other lights have built in slaves. The transmitter goes in the hot shoe on camera. I shoot ISO 100, F5.6 or F6.3 and SS of 160 and that covers 99% of what I do. There is also a flash meter in my locker.

Thanks, guys! I'll probably wind up bringing my own Norman ML400R. It has a PW built in, and I'll bring the other 3 PW's that I own. David - I may take you up on the flash meter. I don't own one yet (it's on the shopping list). What brand/model is it? I'll look it up on the web for usage instructions.

Wes, I have had it for 25 years, so I dont even remember the brand, but its simple. Fire your flash, the meter is set to ISO 50, so turn the dial to what ever reading you get when you trip the flash, and then look at the coresponding reading for your ISO. Example, you fire your flash, and the reading is F4. Set the dial to F4 and if using ISO 100 you would be at F7.5. This will make sense when you see the meter. Very simple to use.
